Gold Bonanza at Martabe Mine

Martabe, North Sumatera deserved to be named the new gold barn of West Indonesia. G-resources group Ltd, a Hong Kong-based company has discovered the new gold deposit in this region. The discovery is located in an area named Horas which was previously known as South Barani.

G-Resource claimed to have discovered yet another 2.7 million ounces of gold deposit and 32.8 million ounces of silver deposit in Martabe. (1 ounce = 28 grams). G-Resources has prepared US$ 440 million worth of fund or approximately Rp 3.9 trillion (Rp 9,000 per US dollar) to exploit the mine.

Jayapura Suasana Kota Jayapura tepatnya di Perumnas III Waena, Jayapura, mencekam pasca kerusuhan yang terjadi, Kamis (14/6/12012) pagi.

Belum diketahui penyebab kerusuhan, namun informasi di lapangan, salah satu koordinator Komite Nasional Papua Barat (KNPB), Mako Tabuni dikabarkan tewas tertembak saat kerusuhan terjadi. Jenazahnya tengah berada di RS Bhayangkara Jayapura.
